Available Treatments
My aim is to provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore what is happening and find ways to overcome it. Therapy is a highly personal journey and not a one size fits all venture, so I am always open to adapt approaches to accomodate your own personal style or neurotype. Sessions with me are a straight-talking, non-judgemental blend of expert-level knowledge and skills with humour and warmth.
EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is most commonly used to help people heal from traumatic events by building safety and regulations skills and holding space for the brain to process painful or distressing memories and allowing them to rest in the past where they need to be.
EMDR is recognised by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence as an approved treatment for PTSD and there is a growing body of evidence to show that it can be helpful with a range of problems from depression and to OCD, grief and specific phobias.
EMDR is a safe and powerful treatment that addresses past trauma, current triggers and future stresses to help people break free from the shackles of the past and nurture good psychological health and resilience for the future.
