You may have been living with the effects of trauma for a long time — feeling on edge, disconnected, or carrying a sense of shame that’s hard to explain.
On the surface, you might be managing — working, caring for others, getting through the day — while privately struggling to understand why things still feel so difficult.
I’m Danielle. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can begin to make sense of your experiences without blame, and at a pace that feels safe — allowing space to gently work through what your mind and body have been holding, so the past no longer has the same hold over you, and you can feel more settled, more connected, and more able to engage in your life.
You might recognise yourself here if…
– You often feel on edge, watchful, or unable to fully relax
– You find it hard to connect with others, or feel distant even in close relationships
– You carry a sense of shame, or feel that something is “wrong” with you
– You’ve tried to move on from what’s happened, but it still feels present in your day-to-day life
– Memories or experiences come back in ways that feel intrusive, such as flashbacks or nightmares
– You feel exhausted from holding everything together on the outside
– You struggle to understand your reactions, or feel frustrated that things don’t seem to shift
– You tend to keep things to yourself, even from the people closest to you
If some of this feels familiar, you’re not alone — and it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you.
Therapy can offer a space to begin to understand these experiences in a different way.
How I work
I offer a calm, steady space where we move at a pace that feels safe for you.
Many of the people I work with have been carrying difficult experiences for a long time, often without having had the opportunity to fully process them. Because of this, feeling safe and supported is an important place to begin.
My work is integrative, drawing on approaches such as CBT to help us understand patterns of thinking and behaving, and how these impact your emotional wellbeing.
Alongside this, we create the conditions where your mind and body can begin to settle, so that exploring what you’ve been through doesn’t feel overwhelming.
I am also trained in EMDR, a therapeutic approach that can help you to process traumatic experiences in a way that allows them to feel less present and less distressing. We would only use this when it feels appropriate for you, and always at a pace that feels manageable.
As trust builds, we can gently begin to work through these experiences — helping you to make sense of them, and to relate to yourself with more understanding and compassion.
Over time, this can allow the past to feel less present, and make space for you to feel more connected, more at ease, and more able to engage in your life.
“She created a space that felt safe, contained, and deeply supportive, allowing trust to build and the work to progress at a manageable pace.” TESS

Taking the next step…
Reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially if you’ve been carrying things on your own for a long time.
If you’re considering therapy, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation. This is a chance for you to ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
You don’t need to be certain — just open to the possibility that things could feel different.
“Recently, I was able to undergo a medical procedure on the front of my neck while fully awake, something that would have been unimaginable before.” TESS
