I’m a therapist with experience supporting adults who are living with the long-term impact of trauma, including experiences such as abuse, assault, birth trauma and traumatic grief.
In my work, I’ve seen how these experiences can continue to affect people long after they’ve happened — shaping how safe they feel in themselves, how they relate to others, and how they make sense of who they are.
I also understand how easy it is for this to be misunderstood — both by others and by ourselves — leading to feelings of shame, self-blame, or a sense that something is “wrong.”
My approach is calm, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that your responses make sense in the context of what you’ve been through. I aim to offer a space where you don’t have to explain everything perfectly, or hold it all together, but can begin to explore things at your own pace.
I am accredited in CBT and EMDR, and work in an integrative way, drawing on these approaches to support both understanding and deeper processing. Alongside my professional training, my perspective has also been shaped by a personal understanding of how difficult experiences can continue to live on in the mind and body — and how important it is to feel that you are not alone in that.
I bring a steady presence and a willingness to sit with difficult experiences without judgement. Where appropriate, I also bring warmth, a sense of lightness, and a very human approach to the work, helping you to feel more at ease as we begin to make sense of what’s been hard.
